get out an enjoy the warmer temperatures on the way this week. right now, we're clear across the area and relatively mild. temperatures are running in the others and you can see out to the west, our rainmaker will be that cold front that is now pushing into western ohio, moving through inupped at this hour. i don't think we'll see much rain today. we'll just see the clouds start to move n a little early sunshine and a mostly cloudy afternoon. rain later tonight and for the start of your tuesday. i think by the morning commute tomorrow, we'll have some of the rain showers around as that cooler air starts to work in. behind that front, temperature a good 15 to 20 degrees cooler. that is a very quick look at the forecast. i'll toss it back to you. >> thank you. our top story, congress is demonding more answers and de-

- demanding more answers and information about the rei re-- resignation of david petraeus. the manager a taco bell in columbia confronted people fighting in the parking lot early sunday morning and was shot during the scuffle. he got back into the restaurant and two employees called 911. he is listed in critical condition. police still don't have a motive yet. map accused of being the east coast rapist has reportedly admitted to raping several women. aaron thomas told a rapt we're taxed several women in several states beginning two decades ago but he doesn't know why.

>> i couldn't believe it was november actually. let's get to it and we'll start with numbers that are currently in the low 50s. 52degrees. 52 at dulles. bwi marshall, 41 degrees. if you get the cheering, it doesn't take a lot to get the temperatures back into the 40s. 40s to the north and east this morning. cold front, you can see it there on the left-hand side of your screen. it will be approaching. might be a little early sunshine. we'll cloud up quickly. most of your day shoulded cloudy. the rain will get in here. it will be here for tomorrow morning's commute. and by tomorrow, we'll struggle to get to 50. so you get the idea that we'll have a little reinforcing shot of some cooler air. enjoy today. there you go. cool conditions to start your day. most had cloudy this afternoon. highs in the upper 60s.

new this morning, more than 07 firefighters were called to a maryland home after flames protect out just before 1:00 a.m. this happened in the 300 block of wild willow way. two adults and one child were inside the home but they were able to make it out okay. a house in montgomery county also total loss of a late night fire there. take a look at this picture. that home totally engulfed in flames there. this happened around 10:00 last night. no one was hurt during this, thankfully. investigators have not yet said anything about what caused that fire either. the manager of of a tang owe bell restaurant is fighting for his life after being shot while trying to break up a fight. -- the manager of a taco bell restaurant. >> he confronted two people who were fighting and then he was

shot. the victim is listed in critical condition. investigators hope dramatic surveillance video will help them catch the two men who held i'm 7-elevealexandria t happened the same night hurricane sandy hit. police believe the robbery might be related to similar crimes in the case. if have you any information, please call at alexandria police department and you can remain anonymous. kwame brown will learn his fate tomorrow. he is set to be sentenced for bank fraud and campaign violation charges. he resigned in june. brown is facing one year in jail but prosecutors are urging the judge to sentence him to six days in jail and three years supervised reclose. congress wants more details into the extramarital affair of former cia director david petraeus. they want to know why they weren't told sooner and if

national security was ever compromised. fox 5's melanie alnwick has more. >> reporter: david petraeus was due to testify this week. now, some members of congress are questioning the timing of the cia director's resignation. the affair between david petraeus and paula broadwell, the woman who wrote his biography, was uncovered during and fbi investigation into harassing e-mails. a family friend contacted the fbi about those anonymous threatening e-mails which the fbi then traced to broadwell. lawmaker believe the investigation went on for several months and they are asking why they weren't informed earlier. according to the "washington post," petraeus had visited benghazi to find out what happened in the attack. now, with his sudden resignation, his deputy director will testify instead.

>> we have a national security failure along in the making. i do want see how in the world you can find out what happened in benghazi before, during and after the attack if general petraeus doesn't testify. >> broadwell is married and has two sons. she first met the general in 2006 and traveled to afghanistan in 2010 to begin writing the book. senator dianne feinstein said she doesn't believe there is a link between the resignation and his scheduled testimony. there will be meeting with congressional intelligence leaders wednesday to discuss the affair and the fbi investigation. >> thank you. the man accused of being the east coast rapist reportedly admits to raining several women. aaron thomas spoke to a reporter for the "washington post" from the cell where he is awriting trail. he said he attacked several

women decades ago but he doesn't know why. he said, quote: thomas is scheduled to plead guilty to one case in leesburg at the end of the month. the month. president barack obama paying tribute at a veterans day ceremony at arlinon memorial cemetery. he says the wreath he laid is intended to, quote, remember every service member who has ever worn our nation's uniform. over at the vietnam memorial on the national mall, a special event marked the 30th anniversary of the memorial's dedication and the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the vietnam war. it is the most popular attraction in d.c. with 4 million people visiting every euro. at the world war ii memorial, a few hundred vets were honored. their numbers are dwindling since the war ended 67 years ago. and the veterans are now in their 80s and 90s.

still no word on what caused a massive house explosion that killed two people in indianapolis. the blast and subsequent fire sent many residents running for safety in their pajamas. now, in all, 80 homes were damaged. 31 of them are a complete loss. seven other people were injured. but they are expected to be okay. witnesses say the blast could be felt more than three miles away. >> the whole house shook.

north and west, not too bad. manassas and culpeper currently running at 43 degrees. these temperatures relatively mild overnight. we'll probably be in the upper 60s for daytime highs. clouds on the horizon, you might get in here. most of your day will feature cluck but not much rain. i don't think we'll see any rain during the daylight hours. this is our cold front, brought some pretty good rains if you were watching the bears game with the texans. they were getting pretty good rain in chicago. it will give us a period of rain around here later tonight and early tomorrow morning. behind the front, the cooler air will start to rush n after enjoying daytime highs in the upper 60s, we'll only be in the 50s tomorrow. much of the week will feature temperatures in the 50s. becoming cloudy. still mild, we observed veterans day today. winds will be picking up at

times getting gusty later this afternoon. cloudy skies, showers developing late. working west to east, we'll start to see the showers. not much of a rebound in temperatures tomorrow. our temperatures on tuesday will be in the low 50s. that is a mistake. 50 on wednesday. there you go, 50s for the rest of the week. so much cooler air on the week. let's do some traffic and get the latest from julie wright and find out what is happening. take it away. >> am i supposed to be telling jokes. is that what i heard you say earlier? >> yes, you got no traffic to talk about. entertain us. >> any time that tucker is standing in front of us, i have avenue got loads of jokes. it's like nonstop. we do have lighter than usual traffic volume. southbound 270 in great shape. those hov rules will be lifted on 270 as well as on your trip

in virginia along 95, 395 and 66. we were checking northbound here at duke street for an incident. we are told from v-d.o.t. it is actually on the southbound side before you reach duke street tying up the right side of the road. no delay continuing southbound. this happens to be ken ill wort avenue both north and southbound here at eastern. the pace good to go between pennsylvania avenue and the d.c. line. that's a check of your fox 5 on-timetraffic. etraffic. trains will operate on a saturday schedule. that means stations will open at 5:00 a.m. and close at midnight. parking will be free at all metro operated facilities. riders will also want to add more time to their commute because there will be scheduled track work on the red, orange and green lines. also, no vre or marc service today. i aperson who fell onto metro track will survive. investigators say a man somehow lost conscious' or lost husband balance and fell on to the

tracks at fort totten. he managed to get up and off the tracks by himself. red line trains were single tracking after that incident. a threat penetrating the u.s. border and we are not talking about people or weapons. >> up next, pests invading cargo coming into the u.s., potentially dangerous insect. fox 5's sherry ly has the full story when we return.

can make people sick. >> reporter: just look at the what the brown stinkbug has done, a native of china first spotted in pennsylvania nearly 15 years ago. >> we are spot picking right now. >> reporter: the stinkbug hit islamorada farmer bob black's orchard hard this year. >> you can see that the stinkbugs have sucked some of of the justice out of the cells. >> he will have to sell these apples for juice. >> more damage than i anticipated. >> reporter: and get half the price he would for a good apple sold in stores. the problem with invasive pests like this is there are no natural predators here so farmerss have to spray to keep the crop damage down. that increases their cost, a cost which is passed onto you in the food you buy. >> how much does it cost me in money? that is a million dollar question. >> reporter: the u.s. department of agriculture's animal and plant inspection service helps identify suspicious bugs. anything found at the ports or

airports comes here. the danger isn't just to crops. giant african smiles now multiplying in florida can spread deadly diseases. >> we found they're big and they eat a lot but they also carry parasites that are bad for humans. i believe you can eastbound die from the parasites. >> reporter: on the east coast, they are fighting the emerald ash bore are and asian longhorn beetle which are wiping out trees enmasse. >> reporter: in the war on stink bugs, the usda set of a line of traps at the edge of bob black's farm trying to find away to stop them. >> we still don't know the rhyme or reason of why they're feeding, when, where. >> reporter: we discover a beat until a tile shipment from
